“Coming back as FUFA President, that’s undermining me” Dr Lawrence Mulindwa

Former FUFA President Dr Lawrence Mulindwa has revealed that he cannot contest again for FUFA Presidency.

While on NTV Sports Knights on Monday, the Vipers SC President stated that he can now serve football in a different way and return as FUFA President will be undermining him.

“Me coming back as FUFA president, that’s undermining me. If I had stayed as FUFA President maybe I wouldn’t have built this Stadium or people would be saying that I have used money from FIFA or CAF.” I can now serve football in a different way.” Said Mulindwa before revealing that he has never made a personal attack on FUFA boss Eng.Moses Magogo

“There has never been a personal attack on Moses Magogo. Some people might create situations that make it seem like we are at odds, but despite occasional differences in beliefs, it doesn’t mean we are enemies. When I make a statement that seems negative about football, it comes from a Vipers’ perspective, and he can do the same as a Federation leader.”

On the plans to expand St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende

“We are very proud of our club and have big dreams. While some people celebrate for nearly an entire year after winning trophies, Vipers, which has won almost half of the trophies, looks ahead to the next 10 years. We have plans to expand the stadium and make it more modern in the future.”

Mulindwa served as FUFA boss for two terms before he was replaced by Moses Magogo in 2013.
