Democratic Party President Norbert Mao has revealed that the party was not formed to remove President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
While appearing on NBS TV Frontline during a discussion on the current issues in FDC, Mao asserted that Uganda has three categories of political actors, those who are pro-Museveni, anti-Museveni and trans-Museveni.
“In Uganda, we have three categories of actors, we have those who are pro-Museveni, anti-Museveni, and those of us who are trans-Museveni.”
If you reduce a political party’s agenda to the removal of one man, all your calculations are all on one man. DP was not formed to remove Museveni.”
Mao added that downfall of FDC started when Col. Kizza Besigye decided that it should be a protest party
