The organisers of the prestigious Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards have confirmed the winners for the month of October.
In a special way, Kyaggwe Ssaza Team officials were recognized by the organizers at the awards held at Lazio Restaurant in Lugogo on Tuesday.
David Katono Mutono (Kyaggwe Ssaza Team head coach), Greg Kikomeko (Secretary), Hon. Steven Serubula Kinaalwa (Chairperson organizing Committee and County Chief (Ssekiboobo) Vincent Matovu Bintubizibu were all recognized with plaques.
Meanwhile, Vipers SC attacker Allan Okello was named as the best in football.
Okello was in fine form for both the Uganda Cranes and Vipers SC during the month.
He scored three goals for the Venoms and registered an assist in Uganda Cranes 2-1 victory against South Sudan in Juba.
He beat Mbarara City FC forward Seiri Arigumaho and Kawempe Muslim goalkeeper Josephine Nambuya who were also in fine form.
In Motorsport, Mike Mukula Junior won the October gong after his astonishing performances at the 2024 FIA Africa Rally Championship.
He is currently second with 47 points on the leaderboard behind Kenya’s Karan Patel who has 140 points.
Mukula beat Jas Mangat and Ronald Ssebuguzi to the accolade.
Meanwhile, Augustus Owiny clinched the Badminton award.
Owiny who studies at the Victoria University student was outstanding in the East Africa City Tyres Badminton Challenge.
He beat Tracy Naluwooza and Fadilah Shamika Muhammed to the October accolade.
The winners are rewarded with winners accolade and cash courtesy of Fortebet and Jude Color solutions.
