Vipers among UPL clubs yet to fulfill FUFA Club licensing requirements for 2024/25 season

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed that only two Uganda Premier league clubs have met all the mandatory, obligatory FUFA club licensing requirements for 2024/25 UPL season.

After 1st deadline (31st July) of Club Licensing 2024/25 season, only KCCA FC and Kitara FC have met all the required licensing requirements and have been classified in category one.

Reigning Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa, BUL FC, NEC FC, Mbarara City and Soltilo Bright Stars are classified in category two having met all the mandatory requirements but need to finalise on items falling under best practice criteria. Therefore they have granted a license but must fulfil the missing items before the second round of the forthcoming season.

Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC, Wakiso Giants, Mbale Heroes, Police FC, URA FC, Maroons FC and Express have not yet been granted licenses as they have not submitted the needed minimum eighteen players.

Meanwhile, the second and final deadline has been set (15th August 2024) for the 8 clubs to complete the process.
