Former Vipers forward joins Kenya Premier league side

Former Vipers SC and SC Villa forward Pius Wangi has joined Kenya Premier league side Kakamega Homeboyz FC.

Wangi has put pen to paper on a one year employment contract with the Kenyan side.

Wangi has been a free agent since parting ways with Uganda Premier league side Mbarara City FC at the end of last season.

He has previously featured for Vipers SC before joining SC Villa and Rwanda’s Sunrise FC.

He will join goalkeeper Cleo James Ssetuba who is the other Ugandan at the club.

Kakamega Homeboyz were founded 14 years ago and host their home games at the 30000 seater Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

They finished eighth on the Kenyan Premier league table last season with 48 points.

Kakamega are coached by former Kenya defender Patrick Okumu Odhiambo who was appointed in 2023.
