Mckinstry expects it tough for Uganda against Algeria

Former Uganda national team head coach Johnathan Mckinstry expects a tough contest for the Cranes when they taken on 2019 Champions Algeria tonight in Algiers.

Mckinstry asserts that despite a disastrous 2022 for Algeria they however have a great home record

“2022 has been disastrous so far for Algeria, they finished bottoms in their AFCON 2021 group and elimination in the FIFA World Cup playoff.”

However their outstanding home form means that the Cranes will have to be at their best to collect points.” Said Mckinstry via his official Facebook account

Mckinstry was sacked in April last year with his tenure only lasting for 18 months having taken over in September 2019 following the resignation of Frenchman Sebastian Desabre. He was signed on a 3 year contract.

McKinstry managed 12 wins with 3 draws and defeats apiece in the total of 18 matches he managed since his arrival date on 1st October 2018.
He was replaced by Milutin Sredojevic Micho.
