The President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has assured drunkards that beer is now in plenty and there’s no need to import it.

“When I first tasted beer in 1966, It was so sour that I almost spit it. When I asked my friend what this was…he said that “you’ll find out the sweetness in it later.” You who drink alcohol, beer is here in plenty & we no longer unnecessarily import it.”

Museveni also stated that the only way to overcome the issue to imported inflation and fuel prices is to shift from petroleum cars to electric vehicles

“The answer for this imported inflation & fuel prices is to shift from petroleum cars to electric vehicles & motorcycles and then the train.

“We’re going to spend the money we have on those. Other solutions are diplomacy and being frugal.”

“All government agencies will have to buy electric buses from local manufacturing companies. That means there will be no more importation for those vehicles. That way, we shall be able to avoid imported inflation and problems.”

He stated this while addressing the nation on Friday
