The 2022/23 Miss Curvy was officially launched at the Mosa Court on Tuesday morning.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East Africa Community Affairs, Rt.Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga graced the official launch.
State Minister for Gender and culture, Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Hon. Martin Mugarra, Miss Curvy Africa Tracy Awili from Nigeria also attended the launched
“We always thought that small people are the most beautiful and it was the opposite to the big ones.” We accepted the small ones to do their things so let’s also embrace the big ones. They are all Ugandans, so they need support.” Said Kadaga
The winner this year will be crowned on 25th November, 2022 at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
Meanwhile, Nasasi Belinda, a Ugandan businesswoman, won the east African country’s first-ever “Miss Curvy” beauty pageant in 2019.
