Police arrests money swap bandit Taata Sula after NBS TV Investigative Story

Police has confirmed the arrest of Meddy Wasswa commonly known as Taata Sula, a leader of a money swapping gang in Kampala.

The arrest follows an Investigative story ran by NBS TV on Monday evening.

Taata Sula and six others have been selling men’s clothes near Ham shopping center and have continuously been involved in cheating the customers through swapping their money either by less or counterfeits.

Taata Sula’s crew consists of five men and one woman whose identities were exposed by NBS Tv’s Canary Mugume and Jamirah Mulindwa.

Police’s Deputy spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan, Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the arrest of the crew members expect the woman who is on the run.

It was also revealed that Taata Sula is a resident of Ndejje in Makindye Sabagabo and recently expressed interest in the post of LC1 chairman.
