19 people confirmed dead in plane crash in Lake Victoria

At least 19 people have been confirmed dead in yesterday’s plane clash at Bukoba on Lake Victoria in Tanzania.

The plane clash involved a Precision Air plane that was traveling from Dar es Salaam to Bukoba in Kagera Region at around 8:53 in the morning.

During the unfortunate incident, the plane crushed into Lake Victoria with just 100 metres away from it’s landing at the Bukoba Airport.

The Aircraft, 5H-PWF, ATR42-500 had a total of 39 passengers and four crew members on board the flight.

The 39 passengers included 38 adults and 1 infant.

While the details for the members on board are still scanty, it has been established that the two pilots on the place are among the 19 deceased.

The other passengers have been rescued with various injuries and are already receiving appropriate treatment.
