Fr Francis Lubanga has been confirmed dead following a road accident that occured at Senene Village, Kasanje Parish in Mpigi District.
Fr. Lubanga was alone in his Toyota Harrier which he was driving to Entebbe overturned on Thursday evening.
He was attached to Kinyamasika Major Seminary in Fort Portal Diocese.
“With great sorrow, the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese His Grace Paul Ssemogerere announces the death of Fr Lubanga. He has been attached to St Paul’s National Seminary Kinyamasika as Vice Rector,” Read part of the condolence message
He will be buried at Nsambya Cemetery in Kampala on January 2, 2023.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, the Uganda Police stated that over 55 lives had been killed between December 23rd and 26th in the 47 fatal and 95 serious road accidents across the country.
