Police are on the hunting for a kidnapper who is suspected to have ended the life of a seven year old John Isabirye.
The kidnapper identified as Waiswa Katende allegedly killed Isabirye after his parents failed to raise Shs50M.
Waiswa kidnapped Isabirye on New year’s Eve from his parent’s home located in Bulyango Village at around 8Pm.
After kidnapping the boy, Waiswa made phone calls and told them to pay him the ransom before midnight.
He later told the parents to at least pay Shs 80,000 to locate them to the place where the body of their son was before switching off his phone.
After killing the boy, Waiswa dumped the remains in a sugarcane plantation in Mutukula Village, Namwendwa Sub-county, Kamuli District.
Busoga North Police Spokesperson Michael Kasadha has revealed that they have embarked on the hunt for Waiswa who will face two counts of kidnap and murder.
