Asubuzayo Jackie Celine, 24, was on Wednesday night declared the winner of this year’s Miss Uganda West Nile to represent the region at the National level.
Jackie defeated nine contestants in a hotly contested race at Hotel Le’confidential in West Nile.
Akello Sarah Racheal 23, Arua District emerged the first runners up and Driciru Fiona 25 ,from Arua District emerged the second runner.
With the theme of “Beauty Beyond Looks” the judges are paying attention to character and personality.
Any contestant should be a true Ugandan evidenced by a National identification number or Passport,hold an advanced level certificate as minimum ,not engaged, no visible tattoos and atleast be aged 18-25years.
The judges included Phiona Bizzu Miss Uganda 2012 ,Petronela Acen reigning Miss Uganda North ,Letio Christine Miss Uganda finalists 2012 also Miss Madi 2018 plus Brenda Nanyonjo CEO Miss Uganda.
The Journey to searching the Pearls’ next beauty queen continues with auditions in the Northern region from 12th-14th January in Gulu ,Western Region from 20th-22nd January in Fortportal.
The search for the beauty pageants airs on Makula Television at 8:50pm courtesy of Sponsors StarTimes and the universe awaits who replaces Olivier Nakakande who later pursued studies abroad to leave crown to runners-up ,Elizabeth Bagaya.
