Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi has revealed that he will contest incumbent Budiope East Member of Parliament Hon.Moses Magogo in the 2026 elections.
While appearing on NBS Sport, Muhangi confirmed that he is ready to challenge the FUFA boss for Budiope East Member of Parliament seat.
“In the next elections, I contest for Budiope East constituency Member of Parliament. I am not fighting Magogo but have seen a space there. I am preparing for my campaign trail and very soon you are going to see me visit Budiope more often trying to establish my network there, structures there, so I am coming there.
Muhangi asserted that the reason is heading to Parliament is because people who used to debate ideas about sports were not part of the sector.
In the 2021 General elections, Magogo garnered 27,675 votes to beat Dhamuzungu Geofrey who managed 12, 508 votes to the Budiope East seat
