The Electoral Commission has today morning handed over its former offices on Jinja Road to Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to pave way for the construction of the Kampala Flyover and the road upgrading project.
UNRA is set to demolish the facilities at plot 55 Jinja road, Kampala for the development of the Kampala Flyover Construction and Road upgrading project.
Justice Simon Byabakama the Chairman Uganda Electoral Commission says UNRA compensated them Shs 23b.
In December last year, EC embarked on the process of relocating it’s offices and they are temporarily located on plot 1-3/5, Seventh street, industrial Area.
Byabakama revealed that the relocation is done and the commission has began offering services to the citizens.
