150 students of Nakanyonyi Senior Secondary School have been hospitalised after suspected food poisoning.
The students are critically ill following suspected food poisoning.
Over six ambulances and saloon cars have been rushing the affected students to different hospitals including St. Francis Naggalama Hospital, Mukono Church of Uganda Hospital and Mukono General Hospital for medical attention.
“Preliminary medical reports from Naggalama Hospital have so far pointed out food poisoning but we are still investigating. Let the parents stay calm, as we handle the situation with the medical personnel,” Naggalama Division Police Commander Simon Tsamusangire said as quoted by New Vision
It is alleged that the students ate suspected poisoned food on the supper they had Wednesday (July 19, 2023).
