The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has banned Gaddafi FC duo for five years over match fixing.

Mahad Yaya and Andrew Waiswa are the two players that have been banned by the Federation.

Both players were among the eight who were suspended in May for three months over match fixing allegations.

The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee revealed that both players are guilty of violation of Articles 41 (Manipulation of football matches or competitions or match statistics), Article 24(3) (General Duties) and Article 42 (Failure to report) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

The committee also stated that it analysed and evaluated the evidence on file and the defense put forward by the two players and found that they were involved in influencing the results of matches for betting purposes in violation of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Mahad and Waiswa have been banned from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at the national level (administrative, sports or any other) for a period of five (5) years, as of notification of this decision.
