Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC lost 2-1 to Maroons FC in a league game that was played under the floodlights of the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo last evening.
The defeat reduced KCCA’s Portuguese head coach Sergio Traguil to tears as his team conceded a late goal shortly after missing a penalty.

Fred Amaku scored twice to emphatically grab victory for Maroons while Shaban Muhammad scored for KCCA, a goal that eventually turned out to be consolation.
The match’s turning moment was 72nd minute when KCCA was awarded a penalty following a handball by Maroons left back Fredrick Kigozi.
Usama Arafati blasted the penalty on the cross bar and Maroons went on to score the winning goal and win the game with only four minutes left on the clock.
Sergio Traguil was inconsolable when the full-time whistle was blown and failed to address the media in the routine post match post conference.
Traguil spent some time sobbing while leaning on the goal posts and in the goal area before marching slowly to the corner flag.
While standing in the corner flag, he was approached by KCCA FC PRO Moses Magero but it looked he was not in the right condition to speak.
He was later approached by the club’s Physiotherapist before eventually leaving the corner flag.

KCCA was recently eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 5-4 to Libya’s Abu Salem on aggregate.
They also lost their opening game of the league to BUL FC a week ago at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
