The Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards ceremony to reward the excelling sports personalities for the month of October will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Lazio Restaurant in Lugogo.
There are five different sports disciplines that will be rewarded at the Fortebet Real Stars Awards month of October 2023 .
The nominees are in Football, Rugby, Handball and Basketball , Golf
In the category of Rugby, all the three players who were nominated peace Lekuru , Grace Auma and Sandra Lona Amori helped the Lady Rugby cranes side 7’s sides to finish third at the Rugby Africa Rugby 7s.
In Golf Godfrey Nsubuga secured the 2023 Uganda Amateur Golf open in a record breaking performance which make him in the icon golfing history books.
Nsubuga will tussle out with Ugandan professional golfer Ronald Rugumayo who is part of the winning team at recently concluded Absa pro -Am tournament of the 2023 Johnnie walker Uganda open Golf championship7 and peace Kabasweka who won the 2023 Uganda ladies Golf Ladies Golf open and the NCBA Golf Series in Entebbe .
Among the nominees in Football category is Alex kitata who has scored three goals for his side BUL fc in the month of October ,He provided two assists and was the man of the match as Bul fc beat Maroons 3-0 in Njeru.
Cromwell Rwethiomio on the other side of Kitara fc scored two goal in October against KCCA FC while Nabukenya Agnes who has had a bright start with Kawempe musulim women football club and Uganda U20 women football team .
Nabukenya scored avital goals home and away at the Fifa U20 women world cup qualifiers against Mozambique which help Uganda to progress to next level on aggregate a 8-0 at fufa technical center in Njeru earlier at the start of October .
For Basketball , Titus Odeke Lual was instrumental player for City Oilers to won the ninth consecutive National basketball League title with a 78-63 triumph over KlU Titans and Titus was voted the most Valuable player of the 2023 National Men basketball League.
The other two are perus Nyamwenge and Hope Okello who sweeps end of season awards after JKL Dolphins clinched their third NBL title by defeating KIU Rangers, deservedly was awarded the Mvp trophy and she went on to win Best defensive player, best Rebounder and lastly making the All-Star team for season 2023 .
Lastly in the Category of Handball Nominees are Versatile Lillian Achola ,Godwill Bingana and Hilda Abangit .
All the winners from each category will be rewarded for their excellent performance with an accolade courtesy of a Jude Colour Solutions branded accolade and Cash prize.
