Former teacher arrested for allegedly sharing fake PLE Papers

Former teacher has been arrested by police for allegedly sharing fake Primary Leaving Examination papers code named ‘Fertilizers.’

According to a press statement released by UNEB’s Principal PRO, Jeniffer Kalule Musamba today, 6th October, 2023, the suspect, Okwenyi Tom is detained at Kampala Metropolitan.

 

“One suspect, by the names of Okwenyi Tom, is detained at Kampala Metropolitan in respect of electronic sharing of fake PLE papers,” Kalule says.

Kalule says Okwenyi who is a former teacher, but currently said to be working with a multi-national Agency, is said to have formed a social media platform called ‘Elite SST Senior Examiners, where he shared the fake papers, to over 1500 members of the group.

She says the fake papers are code named ‘Fertilizers’ before adding that UNEB security teams are also tracking another group said to be sharing another set of fake PLE papers code named, ’beans.’

“We are also closely monitoring all online media platforms for anyone that may be vending purported UNEB Examination papers. We continue to caution the public against sharing or forwarding any content said to be UNEB Examinations. Please report to police of call our toll free line 0800-111-427,” Kalule adds.

Primary Seven Candidates will start their exams tomorrow, 7th November, 2023 with briefing and then start papers on Wednesday ending on Thursday, 9th November 2023.
