Police in Namwenda subcounty,Kamuli district has arrested a man after he was suspected of defiling his own two daughters.
The suspect is Kadumbula Silveste, 30 years a resident of Nambale village, Ndalike Parish, Namwendwa subcounty in Kamuli district
The chairperson of Namwendwa Subcounty, Pius Mugweri got the information from a whistleblower that he has been using his own daughters of 10 years as part of the rituals to become rich. Its alleged that their mother left the twins under their father’s care.
“I got the information from the whistleblower that the man decided to use his own daughters in a bid to become rich. I used my personal intelligence and talked to the girls who confirmed that their father has been using them. This is a bad act and I urge youths to just work hard than focusing on rituals to get rich.” Said Mugweri
He condemned the act and called upon development partners, leaders and the government to intervene in matters concerning rights for young girls.
