Vipers SC part ways with winger Abdu Lumala

Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers Sports Club have confirmed the departure of midfielder Abdu Lumala.

Lumala leaves the Venoms on mutual consent after two seasons at the club whom he joined as a free agent in July 2022, and leaves to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.

At Vipers SC, Lumala made 20 appearances for the club, scoring three goals, making five assists. He leaves as a double champion having won a domestic double, Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup last season 2022/23.

Lumala was an integral part of the team that eliminated TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo to qualify Vipers SC for the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time in the club’s history.
