BUL FC move five points clear after hard-fought victory over Bright Stars

BUL FC came from a goal down to overcome Soltilo Bright Stars 2-1 in the league that was played at FUFA Technical centre, Njeru on Wednesday.

Shafik Kakande gave Bright Stars the lead three minutes to halftime but the leaders recovered in the second half through goals from Walter Ochora and Jerome Kirya.

Ochora levelled matters in the 54th minute heading home a perfect Kirya free kick.

Kirya registered his name on the score sheet 15 minutes after a goalkeeping howler from Hassan Matovu.

The win saw Abbey Kikomeko coached side register their first ever double over Bright Stars

They also open a five-point gap lead at the top and are now on 37 points.

Bright Stars on the other hand remain 9th on the Uganda Premier league log with 21 points.

BUL FC will next visit Maroons FC on 23rd February while Bright Stars will face off with Express FC in their next league fixture.
