Audience member attacks Comedian Dave Chappelle with a WWE spear like move on stage

Weeks after Will Smith slapped comedian Cris Rock at the Oscar awards ceremony live on Tv, another comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked by a member from the audience at the Netflix is a joke festival in Los Angeles on Tuesday 3rd May.

Footage of what what looked like a clear WWE move called the spear or a rugby tackle has since been making rounds on various social media platforms as the unidentified man rammed into Chappelle as he did his thing.

The reason for the attack is still unknown but Dave Chappelle is famous for making endless jokes about the transgender community. Last year he faced backlash for his show the closer.

After the attacker had Chappelle on the ground he run behind the stage screen as security came in to refrain him. The comedian was not injured and after he regained his composure, he went on with the show.

On the other hand, the attacker sustained some injuries and was latter taken to hospital by police. It’s also believed that he was armed with a knife.

It’s also reported that after the attack, Chris Rock the Will Smith victim joined Chappelle on stage and jokingly asked, “was that Will Smith?”

The Netflix is a joke festival will conclude on the 8th of May 2022.
