Uganda’s long distance runner Jacob Kiplimo has confirmed that he is after accident he sustained on Wednesday in Kapchorwa.
Kiplimo confirmed the good news on his social media platforms.
“I’ve read a lot of messages and posts about my accident occurred yesterday (Wednesday) heading to my home village. I was driving on a rough muddy road when the car swerved off.”
“I would like to reassure everyone that I’m ok and I did not face any consequences. This morning I trained with my camp teammates in Kapchorwa.

Kiplimo is now a two time World Cross Country Champion following his triumph on Saturday in Belgrade in a time of 28:09.
He joined Kenenisa Bekele, Geoffrey Kamworor and Paul Terget who are the other athletes to win back to back World Cross Country championships.
Kiplimo is also a double Commonwealth Champion over the 5000m and 10000m.
