Vipers SC completed a double over Kitara FC with a 2-0 win in the top of the table clash at Masindi Municipal Stadium on Friday.

The Venoms prevailed through goals from Donato Okello (own goal) and Abubaker Lawal.

It was also a sweet revenge for the Venoms who were eliminated by Kitara FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Victory sent the reigning league champions to the summit with 45 points they have garnered in 23 games while Kitara FC are now second on the log.

During the second half, Vipers SC defender Hillary Mukundane complained to the center referee Mashood Ssali claiming that Kitara captain Maxwell Owachgiu had witch in his jersey.

The referee picked it and kept it and told Kitara skipper who was the culprit to go off the pitch for some minutes.

It is claimed that Max had a roasted chicken leg in his pants.

Despite the witchcraft incidents, Vipers pounced and currently lead the log with 45 points and will next host Maroons FC on Tuesday at Kitende.
