Musa Atagenda contemplates selling Wakiso Giants

Ainebyona KAKWENZA

They may be enjoying their best season since elevation to Uganda’s top flight league but Wakiso Giants owner Musa Atagenda has hinted on a desire to sell the club off.

The move must have been inspired by Roman Abramovich’s declaration that Chelsea is up for sell.

Abramovich’s reasons behind the decision are know by all but sandry but Atagenda’s reasons aren’t known yet , let’s hope it hasn’t been sparked by a bandwagon spirit.

The local businessman acquired the club in 2018 when he bought the then Big league side Kamuli Park whose background hailed from Busoga.

He was initially denied a right to change the club’s name but was later granted his wish provided the club hosted their home games at Kyabazinga stadium Bugembe in Jinja.

The club managed to win promotion in the 2018/19 season and later moved home ground to Kabaka Kayabaggu in Wakiso.

Atagenda is known by many as a man of many women and he has fathered children with more than 6 women including one with fallen footballing legend Majid Musisi’s daughter.

Watch the space.
