Vipers players and Technical staff missed out on brand new cars after failing to complete a Cup double.

The Uganda Premier league champions suffered a 3-1 defeat to BUL FC in the Uganda Cup final that was played at the King George Stadium in Masindi.

Ugolemwa understands that Dr.Lawrence Mulindwa the owner of Vipers had promised each player and the coaching staff brand new cars in case they had completed a cup double.

The Venoms were looking to join SC Villa, Express FC and KCCA FC who are the three sides to have won a cup double in the country.

BUL smiled to their first ever major trophy whereas their head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola won his third Uganda Cup trophy.

All the three triumphs for Isabirye have come against Vipers, in 2012 (URA FC), 2013 (now defunct Victoria University) and currently at BUL FC.
