Spice Diana donates Shs3M to aid Ugandans stranded in Arab nations, hailed by Bobi Wine

Singer Spice Diana real names Hajarah Namukwaya has contributed Shs3M towards the repatriation of migrant workers stuck in Arab Nations.

Firebase proprietor and National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine who also contributed UGX 10M towards the campaign has hailed Spice Diana for the good gesture

When I called to thank her, she was like “come on brother, I did that for myself and fellow women. I gave myself an early birthday gift”. Spice Diana also replied that she was inspired by Bobi Wine and Barbie

Bobi Wine, together with Nubian Li, were set to hold two concerts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to raise money for Ugandans stuck in Arab countries. However, authorities in Dubai canceled the charity concerts.

Bobi Wine is currently in Boston, USA to raise funds for the same course.

About 3,000 Ugandans are said to be detained in Al Awir Prison in the United Arab Emirates, with the majority of the detainees being girls and facing charges of illegal stay.

This week, some migrants have already returned to the country courtesy of the National Unity Platform and other Ugandans.
