UNEB starts marking of PLE and UCE exams

The Uganda National Examinations Board has on Monday, 5th December started marking the 2022 Primary Leaving Examination and Uganda Certificate of Education Examination papers.

UNEB expects to finish marking of exams at all 26 centres by January 2023.

According to Jennifer Kalule, the UNEB head of communication revealed that they registered exam malpractice cases at St. Lucio School Nsagi during the Economics paper 3 and Physics.

The 2022 UNEB examinations will officially end on Friday, December 9th with the final UACE paper.

Before the exams started, UNEB indicated that more than 1.28 million learners had registered to sit for this year’s national examinations across the country at all levels.

A total of 832,821 learners registered for PLE while 349,455 candidates registered for the 2022 UCE examinations. For UACE the number of candidates who sat is 87,896.
