Photos: Simba SC unveil Robertinho as head coach

Tanzanian Giants Simba SC have unveiled former Vipers head coach Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho as their new head coach.

Robertinho who terminated his contract at Vipers joins Simba on a two year employment contract.

The Brazilian replaces Zoran Manoljovic who was sacked at Simba.

Simba have been under the stewardship of interim coach Juma Mgunda since Manoljovic’s departure.

Robertinho takes charge at Simba SC

The 62-year old featured for Brazil’s clubs Fluminense, Flamengo and Palmeiras among others when he was still an active football player, he also coached Fluminense, Kenya’s Gor Mahia among other clubs.

The Brazilian coach replaced interim Paul Kiwanuka who was in charge of the Vipers following the departure of Fred Kajoba in May 2021.

At Vipers, Robertinho won one Uganda Cup and last season’s Uganda Premier league title. He managed 43 wins, drew 9 and lost 6 in the 57 games he was in charge of the Venoms.
