URA FC confirm Baker Mbowa’s replacement

The management of Uganda Revenue Authority Football club has confirmed the appointment of Fred Muhumuza as their new assistant coach.

“We would like to announce that Fred Muhumuza has joined our Technical staff as assistant coach on a one year contract.” Read a club statement

The CAF B graduate and Famaco 1 holder who also holds a Certificate in sports administration that was issued by the Uganda Olympic Committee will work hand in hand with Head coach Sam Timbe.

He comes in as a replacement of Baker Mbowa and with his experience we believe he will add value to the club.

He has been head coach of Tooro Province in the just concluded FUFA drum tournament guiding them to the semi finals and named best coach.

Muhumuza started at St Leo’s College Kyegobe and he was the captain before joining Makerere University and played in University games.

His club football journey began at Volcano FC in the Supermini games were he was captain.

He also played for Tooro United in supermini games as captain before crossing to the now defunct Victors FC, winning Kakungulu cup cup(Uganda Cup) twice as captain.

He represented Victors in the CAF Confederation cup twice as captain.

Muhumuza later joined SC Villa and was part of the team that played in the Becamex cup in Vietnam, losing in semifinals.

As a coach, he managed at Bumate FC as they qualified for the Big League and was the Tooro Province head coach in the just concluded FUFA drum tournament.
