National Unity Platform Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has attacked tycoon Hamis Kiggundu over the re-development of Nakivubo Stadium.
In one of the clips on social media, Kiggundu claimed that Nakivubo Stadium redevelopment will cost UGX 737 trillion
“He claims to be re-developing Nakivubo Stadium at a mind-bending cost of UGX 737 trillion (USD 200B)! Meanwhile, the most expensive stadium in the world, completed in 2020, cost only UGX 20 trillion. Uganda’s budget for 2023 is UGX 50 trillion. He added,
“Hopefully, Mr. Ham’s claim was just a slip of the tongue but that is also doubtful, since the official cost of Nakivubo’s re-development is stated to be UGX 180 billion which is certainly nowhere near 737 trillion! Eh, mai lodi, I wanda.” Said Bobi Wine
