Angry residents on Thursday morning (around 4am) killed two suspected cattle thieves at Kakwanzi Village, Bukulula Sub County in Kalungu District.
One of the suspects identified as Masawuli died on spot while Ibra Nsiimbe died on arrival to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital.
The residents spotted a Fuso commercial truck that had been parked by the roadside on Lukaya-Kiti Road.
According to eye witnesses the truck parked in the same area during day time and even in the night.
The residents approached the occupants who locked themselves inside the truck. This prompted the angry residents who smashed the truck windscreen and pulled out the two men.
Masawuli died instantly while Nsiimbe died upon arrival at Masaka Regional Referral Hospital.
Southern Regional Police Spokesperson, Twaha Kasirye says that by the time Police reached the crime scene the residents had already varnished.
