Vipers SC beat KCCA FC 1-0 in the mouthwatering contest that was played under floodlights at Kitende on Friday.
Milton Karisa scored the only goal of the contest as the Venoms sailed to maximum points.
Karisa’s left footed strike in the 89th minute was enough to inspire Alex Isabirye coached side to maximum points and o course of retaining the title.
Vipers are currently second on log with 45 points same as third placed KCCA FC but the latter have a superior goal difference.
The Venoms victory was however overshadowed by Tshisungu Kankonde assault on referee Mashood Ssali.
The KCCA FC forward punched the centre Referee immediately after the final whistle and was shown red. FUFA is expected to act on the matter.
