His bail application was turned down and now faces charges of fabricating accountability for money disbursed by the National Council of Sports (NCS) for boxing programs.

Earlier this week, PAC (Central Gov’t) chaired by Hon. Asuman Basalirwa handed the UBF boss Muhangi and the former accountant at the Federation Lydia Namuleme to Police CID for further management on allegations of forgery, uttering false documents and misappropriation.

Muhangi was then arrested on Tuesday and detained at the Central Police Station in Kampala.

On Monday, the Uganda Netball Federation President Sarah Babirye Kityo was remanded to Luzira over charges of obtaining Shs16M by falsely pretending to take people to the US.

Babirye was however granted bail on Wednesday by the Buganda Road Court Grade One Magistrate Siena Owomugisha.
