In a dazzling showcase of cricketing finesse, the U-17 girls from Soroti Cricket Academy embarked on their much-anticipated tour to Rwanda, commencing their journey with resounding triumphs that echoed across the Gahanga Cricket Stadium at Kigali in Rwanda.

The morning of Game Day One witnessed an intense T20 clash, with the SCA U-17 girls choosing to bowl after winning the toss. Despite a delayed start shortening the match to 10 overs, Rwanda U-17 girls struggled at the crease, managing a meager 11 runs before being all out in 9.5 overs. The response from SCA U-17 Girls was swift and assertive, securing victory with 12/1 in just 2.2 overs. The standout player of the match, Apolot Patricia, left an indelible mark with a stellar performance, contributing 2 crucial wickets, a spectacular catch, and a maiden over.

The afternoon unfolded another gripping T20 encounter where SCA U-17 girls, having won the toss, opted to set the tone by batting first. Posting a competitive 84 all out in 19.5 overs, notable contributions came from Asumin Akurut (23 off 32) and Timong Patricia Phiona (20 off 38).

The bowlers from Rwanda U-17 girls, led by the impressive Umukundwa Nascilla with figures of 4/13 in 4 overs, showcased resilience. However, facing a challenging target, Rwanda U-17 girls succumbed, bowled out for 46 in 19.2 overs.

Tino Sarah from SCA U-17 girls emerged as a bowling sensation, claiming 3 wickets for a mere 6 runs in 3 overs, securing a commanding victory by 38 runs.
