Mbabazi no show as Vipers humble Iganga Young

Vipers SC head coach Livingstone Mbabazi was not in the dugout during the club’s Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 tie against Iganga Young FC on Wednesday at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

His assistant coach Richard Wasswa was in charge as they thrashed Iganga 3-0 to prevail to the last eight .

Goals from Abdul Karim Watambala, Mauritanian Mohamed Ekdad Salem and Fazil Tumwine sent the Venoms into thr quarterfinals.

Watambala gave the hosts the lead from the spot in the 32nd minute before Mauritanian forward Salem doubled the Venoms lead immediately after the recess.

Second half substitute Youngster Tumwine extended the hosts lead.

Vipers join Pajule Lions, Kitara FC, BUL FC, Police FC, KCCA FC and NEC FC into the last eight of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
