Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC are interested in signing KCCA FC midfielder Ashraf Mugume.
Mugume is technically out of contract at KCCA FC and the club has been slow in triggering his stay.
According to Swift Sports Uganda, Mugume is ready for a sensational return to Kitende in the forthcoming transfer window.
Mugume was one of the outstanding performers at KCCA FC during the just concluded season, scoring 7 goals and 2 assists.
He is a St.Mary’s Kitende graduate and has previously featured for Vipers SC and Police FC.
Vipers had a disappointing 2023/24 campaign as they ended trophyless for the first since the 2018/19 season.
They finished third on the Uganda Premier league table with 56 points and were eliminated by Kitara in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the quarterfinal stage.
