Stephen Billy Kiggundu says that he was the first person to show interest in the SC Villa goalkeeping coaching role but Andy Mwesigwa who was the technical director opted for his elder brother.
Mwesigwa appointed his elder brother Robert Mukasa Kiyenje as goalkeeping coach at Villa
“I remember when I was contacted by Hajji Mandela I met him twice we discussed about my appointment as Goalkeeping coach later on I was told to meet the Technical Director.
“I called him and he told me how he was conducting trials for Villa players I asked him who is in charge of goalkeepers he told me that it was not necessary to have a goalkeeping coach at the moment.
Later on I heard he had given the job to his elder brother that’s when I said bye bye.” Said Kiggundu.
Kiggundu is a former goalkeeping coach at Uganda Revenue Authority FC and also served in the same capacity at Vipers SC.
Meanwhile, Mwesigwa was relieved of his duties at SC Villa.
