Last weekend on 16th December 2022, the much anticipated Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards took place at the Kampala Serena hotel and a number of both local and international acts in the fashion business were awarded.
Among the winners was musician Grenade Official who scooped the award for most stylish male artist of the year in Uganda.
On stage to hand over the award to the Afazali nkuloga singer was none other than socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black.
Bad Black for staters wowed the crowed in Serena with her English for obvious reasons. Then when Grenade official stepped on stage to receive his award, Black proposed that the artist should be declared Mr Uganda for looking good.
“By the way you should be given the title of Mr Kampala, thanks for taking good care of Kampala ladies” said Black to rapturous audience before handing over the award to Grenade.
Grenade Official thanked the organizers for recognizing him and he also confessed that this was his very first award in his entire career.
“Can I shock you guys? Do you know that this is my first award ever, for real, I don’t want to cry because I am a strong man” said Grenade in his acceptance speech.
ASFA’s are an annual event and event organizer Ahumuza Brian didn’t waste any time when he announced that the awards will return next year 2023 on the 15th of December. He made the announcement on his social media accounts.
