The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has joined the Nation and the entire football fraternity in mourning it’s former Treasurer H.E Ambassador to Kenya High Commission Dr. Hajji Hassan Galiwango.
FUFA President Hon Magogo Moses Hassim;
“Galiwango played a key role in management of financial resources during his tenure as Treasurer of FUFA when the institution was growing up. He will be missed by football dearly.”
“On my own behalf, Executive Members, Staff, Member Associations of FUFA and entire football fraternity, I extend my sincere condolences to the Government of Uganda, the bereaved family and entire football fraternity.”
According to Ministry of Foreign affairs, Galiwango died Monday morning at Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted.
The late was the husband to Mbale City Woman Member of Parliament, Connie Nakayeze Galiwango.
Galiwango was appointed as the High Commissinoner to Kenya in October 2020. He previously served as director of Finance and Administration at the NRM secretariat.
