The Chief Justice of Uganda Alphonse Owiny Dollo has apologized to the Kabaka of Buganda for his recent statements.

Last week, while addressing mourners of the late Speaker of Parliament Emeritus Rt Hon.Jacob Oulanyah at Muyenga, Dollo said that it was wrong for some people in the USA to protest against the decision to fly Oulanyah for further treatment.

The Chief Justice went ahead to attack Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II that he was also flown out using the Presidential jet for treatment in Germany.

The Buganda Kingdom through its Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga replied him stating that Kabaka used KLM Airline not the Presidential jet like Dollo stated.

“I made a wrong and inappropriate reference to His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda. I hereby unequivocally, unreservedly and of my free volition, wholly retract that reference and also hereby tender my apology to His Majesty, the Kabaka,” Dollo made the apology as by Daily Monitor

Many people including the National Unity Platinum Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, Leader of Opposition Mathias Mpuuga came out and called upon Dollo to apologize to the Buganda Kingdom for his statements
