FUFA Big League side Soroti City struggles are not just about results but the club also uses tents as dressing rooms during their home games in Soroti.
On Thursday, as Soroti City beat Lugazi FC 2-0 in Soroti, Match officials and players were seen dressing up in tents while others went to the bush.
Ndejje University and Luweero United are the other sides that use tents are dressing rooms.
The incident just shows how the state of Uganda’s sports facilitates need urgent redress and attention.
The Government has also done little to join hands in the struggle of construction and preservation of sports amenities.
Mandela National Stadium is under renovation while St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende is not allowed to host national team matches.
Due to lack of enough facilities in the country, the Uganda Cranes will now host it’s AFCON Qualifier against neighbors Tanzania in Egypt this month.
Meanwhile, Soroti City are 13th on the FUFA Big League table with 23 points they have garnered in 21 games.
