Video: Mulyanyama bitterly reacts to Lord Mayor Lukwago over KCCA FC issues

The Mayor of Makindye Division, Ali Kasirye Nganda Mulyanyama has bitterly reacted to the letter released by the city Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago on the pertinent issues regarding KCCA stadium construction and the club administration.

In the letter the Lukwago called upon Mulyanyama who is a member on the KCCA FC board to step aside for involving himself in player sales.

According to Mulyanyama, this is all about politics.

“Ever since I announced that I will stand for the Lord Mayorship in the 2026 elections, Lukwago started to fight me. I am not a football agent to start selling players like Lukwago allegies.”

The players sign contracts and after a certain period of time, the discuss with their agents and clubs to either renew or move on.”

“This battle has phases. I am keenly following the alphabet, I am now at stage C. I am going to handle this journey politically and on the personal level.”

Mulyanyama revealed that he will continue to execute his duties as a club board member unless if he his told by the chairman Martin Ssekajja to step aside

“I am waiting for chairman Martin Ssekajja to confirm whether have been sacked on the club board. I have written to him and eagerly awaiting his reply.” Lukwago doesn’t want anyone to stand against him.” Said Mulyanyama

Mulyanyama’s supporters raised their message through placard towards Lord Mayor Lukwago which read we are fighting dictatorship. Lukwago, Kampala si Bwakabaka”; “Enough is enough. We are fighting dictatorship in Uganda”

Meanwhile, in the same letter that calls for Mulyanyama to step aside, Lukwago also recommended that current project manager of the stadium construction Peter Paul Wanyama be replaced with a more competent manager.
